Lanesha Sims, Esq.
WORKING AT MVLP OFFICES TO HELP MISSISSIPPIANS. Ms. Sims is a native Mississippian, and a 2006 graduate of the University of Mississippi Law School. After completing her clerkship for the Honorable Carl E. Stewart on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, she joined the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project. The month that she took off before starting her career work at a law firm in Jacksonville, Florida, she gave back to Mississippi by volunteering legal services to fellow Mississippians through MVLP. She interviewed clients, prepared pleadings, attended court hearings, manned the Legal Hotline, and provided counsel and advice. She had a very very busy month. She considered this opportunity a way for her to fulfill her oath to provide legal services to those in need.
